2013

In 2013, we made two trips to DC.  Both were historic and both were events we just had to figure out a way to attend.    The Presidential Inauguration in January and the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington in August.

The inauguration of President Barack Obama in his re-election as the 44th President of the United States of America.  We were there!!

Judith and I were eternally blessed as we were able to pull a hat trick.  In addition to tickets to the Inauguration, we also received tickets to the Inaugural Parade and the cous de gras we receiving tickets for the Presidential Ball.

2012

2012 was a very busy year.  Instead of doing DC/EastCoast Swing during our regular time in August we reorganized our resources for Fredy4 graduation from Bethune Cookman University.

In May of 2012 we anticipated President Barack Obama would be re-elected so we knew there would be two trips in 2013.

2010

2010 was the year of the great “Reclaim the Dream” march.  It also was the year the groundbreaking of the MLK Memorial took place.  Marty King, III was in attendance as well as the great Walter Fauntroy (former Congressman, Original founding member of Congressional Black Caucus and aide to Dr. King).
